Monday night we did BC Karaoke with Brittany, and Tuesday we went to the beach. If anyone is interested, I will be going to the beach every Tuesday so let me know if you want to go. I will be frequenting Huntington Beach since it has great Body Board waves. Surf's up, catch a wave, give me a tan!
I was so glad to meet Lincoln Kindrick Henage for the first time (he's only seven weeks old). What a good baby he is, and he loved the beach. The sound of the waves must have helped him relax, he was super mellow. Alexander is a great big brother and it was fun to see him iteract with his baby brother.
Wednesday I got to spend the morning with Jenn and Melissa and that was wonderful. Their kids are getting so big, and it was nice for all of us to get together. After that I went to the Agentina Meat Market to get my supplies for empanadas. That's what Sam wanted for his birthday dinner, little stinker. I haven't made empanadas since before my mom moved. I had to call her a few times, to make sure I didn't miss anything. I have yet to write the recipe down. I make them by tasting them along the way. They were delicious. Thanks Mom for your help from so far away.
I had many helpers in my kitchen and I'm so grateful to them. Diane and her cousins visiting from Brazil, Patricia and Tamara, were all helping.
Does anybody else feel like time stopped? I don't feel like I'm getting old, everyone else around me is just getting taller. My time stopped at nineteen.
Anyway Thursday morning I got to meet the brand new Sadi Morgan Hardy, a day old and she gave me a smile! I had a chance to change her diaper and those diapers are so teeny. Jami looked great, but she was tired. She was so dang cute! I heard my stomach grumble. You heard it too? Oh I'm just baby hungry.

Then afterwards I went to the Huntington Library with my brother Jorge, Diane, Patricia and Tamara. I finally got to see the new Chinese Garden. They had the opening in February and I've been wanting to go since. It was amazing, 90% of it was brought over from China. Then of course there are all the other wonderful gardens. Here's a few pictures to tempt you to go and see it.
